All Star Weekend

Last weekend the All Star Game was held in St. Louis. Everyone in our season ticket group sold their tickets for a profit, but we decided to go. On Saturday, Jim and I went to Mike Shannon's for a Home Run Derby XBOX contest that he was competing in. We got free food and beer for a few hours. He won this by competing at Hooters a week before. He could have won 4th row bleachers to the Home Run Derby, but he got knocked out in the first round. He was pretty disappointed. It was a fun time though. We walked around a bit after that was over and just hung out. Decided not to go to the Fan Fest b/c we just wanted to get home.
The Clydesdales made an appearance and dropped off a fresh case of beer. Yep, that's right....just one!!
Our friends Craig, Beth, and Alivia met up with us to hang out too
They have these cool mini-arches all around the stadium and downtown area
Sunday morning, Jim and I did the All Star Charity 5K. That was Jim's 1st 5K. It was fun and some much needed exercise for us! Although, we probably only ran maybe a mile in total and just walked the rest.
Sunday, Jim went to the Futures Game and All Star Celebrity Softball game. It rained pretty much all day, so he was gone a lot longer than expected. He went to FanFest that day with Bobby, but then Bobby left during the rain delay. Game finally started late. He was able to get me an autograph softball from James Denton....Mike Delfino on Desperate Housewives.. (the plumber).
Monday he went to the Home Run Derby (everyone keep in mind how much I'm enjoying all of Jim's time away as I sit home with the kids.....) What a good wife I am!!!

It was Craig's 40th Birthday---Happy Birthday!!
Tuesday Jim and I went to the All Star Game together. It was pretty cool and we had a good day/night out. I'm glad we went. Might be a once in a lifetime thing. Sucks that the National League lost AGAIN!! We had great seats though...like in 161 or 164...something like that. We were like 12 rows off the field. I heard the seats were $425....why would people not show up??? Crazy! But, good for us!
Me and Jim before the game
Me and Jim at the game in our awesome seats!!
B-2 Bomber that flew over.....pretty cool!
Anyway, it was neat having the game in our town. But, I'm glad to say its over.....it was a long weekend/week and very tiring!
