Then There Were Four....

In a wild turn of events, when we went back for our second ultrasound Wednesday, Dr. Witten discovered a fourth baby! That's right! We are now having quadruplets! He was not able to see it the first time because it was behind the others. He referred us to a doctor who specializes in "Grand Multiple" pregnancies. Her name is Dr. Moore. She has delivered lots and lots of multiples over the years. She even delivered a set of sextuplets (6) a couple of years ago. She and her colleagues are the best in St. Louis at handling multiple pregnancies. We are in very good hands. We met with her Thursday for the first time and she was awesome! She was very upbeat and positive about everything. She answered our questions and gave us a rough time line of how the pregnancy will hopefully play out. In a nut shell, Chrissy will be on bed rest by September 20th and we will have the new members of our family by the first or second week of December. That's not very far off!!!! We are very excited and very nervous as you can imagine. This is going to be a life changing event. We know that we are up to it though and that everything will be great!

You know, by posting on Suz's blog, you have just opened the door to new friendships and prayer buddies. I'm a compulsive "lurker" and love cherishing the excitement of expecting multiples. May God bless you and your precious babes.

Jim & Chrissy -
I don't personally know you but I found your blog through your comment on Suz's blog. Looking forward to following your story over the next few months! Lifting your family (all 7 of you!) up in prayer over the coming months!!

first of all...CONGRATULATIONS! (although this is probably the time you want to slap every one who tells you that...especially when you are worrying about finances and such and how this will all play out..)
there are SO many prayer warriors out there who are already lifting you and your little ones up! let me know if you EVER have any questions, or if you just need to vent! suzsteece@hotmail.com
