My baby girl turns 2!

Happy Birthday Allison! I can't believe you are already two years old. Mommy and Daddy love you so much and you made our wonderful life so much better. We love to watch you play and learn everyday and know you are going to make the best big sister ever.

We had big plans for Alli's birthday on Friday (10/19) -buy her a fishy, see her great-great aunt, go to the pumpkin patch and have her party at home that night. But, she decided to take a 3 hr nap that day, so we just went to the fish store and got her a fish and then played all day. We had her birthday party that night and most of the family came over. She got tons of gifts and she loved it when we everyone was singing to her.
She also loved her soy ice cream (which Jane talked me into trying and it is NOT good!)

She loved her new bike! It was the hit of the party!

Brian & Gina and Katie & Cory came over with the newest family members. Aren't they precious???? I can't wait!!!

Nana & Papa also stayed with us all weekend and helped around the house. I thought this was cute of them outside, just hanging out.

We also had her pictures taken at Sears yesterday. She didn't cooperate as much as I would have liked, but oh well....a few of them still turned out cute.

24 Weeks & Other Recent Activities

This past weekend, we stayed at the Hilton Frontenac, just for a night out. We kept promising Allison that we would take her swimming, but they only had an outdoor pool that was already closed for the season, so we felt really bad. So, we took her out to Chuck E Cheese to ride a few rides and play some skeeball. It was a nice relaxing weekend.

Oh yeah, we (Jim) had to make a stop at the liquor store too :)

Jim has been getting so much done around the house. We got carpet in our bedroom and Alli's new room today, so now we can start moving Allison over and setting that up for her and then clean up the nursery for the new babies. Our house is so messy right now, but its all starting to come together :) I'm in charge of decorations, etc, so I've just been doing a little shopping for the finishing touches. Jim is doing all of the hard work. Hopefully in 2-3 weeks, we will be done with home improvements for awhile. I'll be sure to put pictures up when I get them completely finished.

Monday we had a dr's appt. Dr. Moore said everything still seems great. I've gained 29lbs so far, which she says is good. I think I'm almost at my highest weight ever! Hopefully it will come off quickly after I have the babies ;) Our next big ultrasound is next Thursday (10/25), so I'll have new news on the babies then. This is my 24 week picture....now, I did just get home from Fast Eddies, so my big cheeseburger and fries (and part of a Big Elwood) was still freshly bloating my belly :)
Yesterday we took Allison to the Magic House. I think she really liked it--she wanted to do everything. The MOMMES group rented it out, so it was cheap and not that crowded. Of course it was neat to see all of the triplets, quadruplets, sextuplets.....all of the kids were so cute.

Allison's fine hair was perfect for the static ball thingy!

It's a Boy!

My brother Brian and his wife Gina had a little boy yesterday (10/10) at 3:59pm. His name is Brian Sullivan and he weighed 8lbs 30z and was 21in long. He is sooooo cute! He looks just like both of them! We got to go visit them last night and hold the new baby. Mommy, Baby, and Daddy are all doing great. Congratulations to the new parents on a beautiful baby boy!!!!

My camera was dead, so I'm posting these pictures that Kelly took.

And the love continues.....

Yesterday I met with a group of friends for lunch. We all work together at the same company, but not in the same group anymore. They all brought me gifts also and bought my lunch. They are all so sweet (and fun)--I'm so glad we kept in touch after we all left the old group! I can't wait to maybe someday be able to go out and party with all of them again like we used to :) I got some essentials, such as diapers and adorable matching St. Louis Cardinal outfits, and also some cute long sleeve-onesies & gift cards. Thanks Carrie, Christie, Sara & Cathy! We really appreciate everything!
We are so excited for when the babies arrive to use all of this new stuff! Of course, we want to keep them growing as long as possible!!!!

We feel so loved!

This past Saturday, we thought we were going to our revived dinner club at our friend Amy's new house.....and being the greatest group of friends in the world, they all turned it into a surprise baby shower for us. This was very unexpected, since this isn't our first pregnancy and these are also the same people that gave us all the diapers earlier this summer. We couldn't ask for a better or more thoughtful group of friends. They were all so generous and we got tons of stuff. Including 2 pumpkin seats and 1 convertible car seat we still needed, plus lots of baby detergent, bath supplies, outfits, & gift card. And they even thought to get Allison an Elmo present. Oh, and the food was great too! I wish we would have thought to get a group picture. So, thank you soooo much, Amy, Amy, Toni, Janet, Dawn, Sheila, Beth, Stacy, Becky, Kari, Kelly, Ann, Kristen and all of the husbands and kids too! We really appreciate everything and everyone!

I am 22.5 weeks here and Amy Y. is exactly 4 weeks ahead of me. Our other babies are 4 mos apart. She is going to have a little boy this time around :)

Welcome Baby Cory!!

My niece Katie and her boyfriend Cory had their baby yesterday (10/1). They didn't find out the sex, so we were all excited to hear she had a little baby boy and they named him Cory James (after his daddy). He weighed 9lbs 10 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. He is sooo adorable!!! I got to meet him today.

We had an appt at the perinatal center on Fri (9/28). Everything looks good so far. I'll be 22 weeks on Wed. The babies were really active during our ultrasound and being so cute. Everytime she would try to get a measurement on one, you would see a foot or a hand or another head pop in. They are estimated to weigh about 140z, 140z, and 15oz (A, B, C) and their heartbeats were all strong (A-147 bpm, B-150 bpm, and C-143 bpm). The ultrasound tech found out the sexes, but we held strong and didn't peek. Jim was trying to, but I wouldn't let him! We go back to see Dr. Moore on Wed. I'm now starting to feel them kicking at the same time, so that is kind of neat to feel it in all different places.

Baby A

Baby B - Hi everyone!!!!

Baby C - Not too great of pics of Baby C this time, but there is a good one of the foot.
Bedrest is going great so far....I'm getting lots of extra rest and watching lots of TV :) Jim is still making home improvements. My brother Billy is going to come over this week and help us out with some stuff we need done.
We went to my cousin Mary Jo's wedding this weekend in Jeff City. It was great to see a lot of the family and the wedding was beautiful, reception fun. I couldn't dance or drink, but I think Alli had enough fun dancing for me. She was so funny! We couldn't keep her off the dance floor (and she loved the edible center pieces).

We also had her pictures taken with the Sesame Street background since she is such an Elmo freak! They turned out pretty cute :) I think she would be about 22.5 mos here.

20 weeks and no more work (for a few months!)

Hi everybody! Today was my last day of work--I'm so excited to relax for a bit. I work with such great friends. They planned a surprise lunch/baby shower for me this past Tuesday. Well, I actually planned it, but thought it was a Sept. birthday lunch, so I really was surprised when I walked in! I got lots of nice things for the babies and a free lunch :) Then today, everyone brought in food, so we were able to snack all day. Of course, I couldn't slack too much since my manager gave me a audit to work on---thanks Scott! Sounds crazy, but I'm sure I'll miss it a little bit....or at least the people.

I had an appt with Dr. Moore last week and she said everything looked perfect so far. Then the next day I went in for an ultrasound and she said I won't need surgery (cerclage), just as she thought. When she came in, she also told me I was made to carry triplets. That really does make me feel good that she is so positive all of the time. And makes me feel like maybe I really was 'chosen'. Jim kind of makes fun of me because its sounds like I'm bragging or something :)I'm not posting ultrasound pics because they aren't that great from her office. She gave us 3, but I have no idea which one is which or if they are even of different babies. We have an appt next week at the perinatal center, so I will post those pictures...they are always better.

So, I'm 20 weeks and getting huge. Every time I wear something, I usually decide by the end of the day that it no longer fits and have to put it away for our next pregnancy (maybe;) Starting to get a little tired again, so I haven't been doing much around the house. Jim is awesome! He is getting so much done--he painted Alli's new room, now we have to get new carpet and decorate. He started to paint our bathroom last night. Kitchen is still not done, but I'm giving him a break on that one :) I can't complain because of all of the other stuff he has been doing. We have been searching for a new minivan. I think maybe we might get one this weekend. Also this weekend we are going to a MOMMES resell it sale to see if there is anything to get that we need. I also want to meet some of the people in the group, since I've only met a few. I may attend one of their dinners next week. So much on my list of things to do, but I know I have to take it easy. I started to feel the babies move a few weeks ago, but Jim was just able to start feeling them a few days ago. He loves it! Alli always wants to come over and feel too, but I don't think she has been able to yet. So she just still gives them kisses.

Enough rambling...I'll post a few pics of what we have been doing the past few weeks.

Labor Day weekend, we went to my brother Brian's house for his annual party. Jim had fun swimming! Just thought this picture was funny!

A group of us hanging out at the bar (dreaming of margaritas!)

The next weekend, we went to a comedy club for our friend Becky's 30th birthday. Comedians were dirty, dirty, dirty, but hilarious. Happy 30th Becky!

That same weekend, we continued on to Nashville to see my nieces big show. We had to make a pit stop to see our friends Donna & Corey and their two girls. Her baby was about 7-8 weeks old at the time of our visit. It was good to see them--it had been over a year.

Emma & Allison reading their books. They played great together!

They also played dress upWe spent the night at Jackie's apt and then Alli played at the park with Billy and Uncle Bill

Now comes the real reason for our trip. Amy, Angela, and Courtney auditioned for a spot to sing at the Bluebird Cafe way back in early February and they were chosen to sing on Sept 9th. A lot of country stars got their start here. It was also Courtney's 17th Birthday! Happy Birthday, Court!

They did awesome (like always!). The trio is called Pearl Heart and they are going to be big some day! You should all check them out at http://www.pearlheartfan.com/ and if you have a myspace, you can befriend them there.
